Data Transit Ships 3G SATA Protocol Analyzer Only Tool Vendor to ship a 3.0 Gb/s product for SATA San Jose, CA. (November 14, 2003) -- Data Transit Corporation, the leading supplier of modular bus protocol analyzers, today announced that it has begun to ship its 3.0 Gb/s SATA Bus Doctor™ Analyzer to customers and distributors located around the world. It is the industry's first and only commercially available solution for the accurate capturing, decoding and analysis of SATA traffic with support for speeds up to and including 3.0 Gb/s. With this new analyzer, storage product manufacturers can improve their development and delivery times. The 3.0 Gb/s Analyzer for SATA is a natural follow-on to the 1.5 Gb/s Analyzer, which Data Transit delivered to customers in the spring of 2002. Data Transit was the first tool company to ship such a product to the industry. Once again, Data Transit takes a leadership position with the shipment of a 3.0 Gb/s version of the analyzer. Support of Serial ATA-II Extensions and ATAPI command decoding and triggering functions are just two of the standard features. "Our commitment to the SATA technology is once again demonstrated today", said Dale Smith, Founder and CTO of Data Transit. "The new Data Transit SATA Analyzer is the only 3.0 Gb/s protocol analyzer shipping today. This innovative product meets our customers' needs and helps them to be competitive and profitable." Consistent with Data Transit's modular analyzer approach, current 1.5 Gb/s SATA Analyzer customers need only to upgrade their existing SATA pod to take advantage of the new 3.0 Gb/s speed. A flexible, cost-effective upgrade path is available for such customers. Please contact Data Transit or one of its worldwide distribution partners for more information.
