Data Transit Announces 3G SATA Protocol Analyzer

With this announcement, Data Transit demonstrates its commitment to SATA technology

San Jose, CA. (September 16, 2003) -- Data Transit Corporation, the leading supplier of modular bus protocol analyzers, today announced the availability of its 3.0 Gb/s SATA Bus Doctor™ Analyzer. This is a follow on to their existing 1.5 Gb/s SATA Bus Doctor™. Serial ATA, a disk interface-technology provides great scalability, price and performance for the high-capacity server and networked-storage environments. This technology is expected to replace parallel ATA by solving many hardware support issues across the storage industry.

Data Transit delivered the first SATA Protocol analyzers in the spring of 2002. It quickly grew to be the number one provider of SATA Protocol analyzers in the world. With this early lead Data Transit has shown its expertise in SATA technology and its ability to deliver to customers the right features for development projects.

"We are committed to the SATA technology. Our 3.0 Gb/s SATA analyzer was the next step in our SATA strategy to support the storage market place", said Dale Smith, Founder and CTO of Data Transit. "Our leadership position is maintained by aligning our development schedules with customer needs."

Data Transit has already taken dozens of orders from its distributors all over the world. This is due in large part to its close cooperation with customers and their development schedules. Taking care of customers test equipment investment is important to Data Transit's operation. As promised Data Transit will honor vouchers offered earlier this year. In addition, customers who recently purchased 1.5 Gb/s SATA analyzer pods in the last year will be offered discounts on upgrades.

"We have received numerous orders for the 3.0 Gb/s Serial ATA Protocol Analyzer", said Dr. Yuji Tsukamoto, Senior General Manager of NEC San-ie Instruments, Ltd. "Data Transit products are well-respected by our customers who demand a full featured product." Data Transit showcases its industry-leading Serial ATA products (booth #339) during the Intel Developer Forum September 16 through 18 in San Jose. In addition, the company will demonstrate its PCI Express products at booth #123.
